Custom conformer manufacturing

Conformer is a clear acrylic shell that is temporarily installed on the eye after eye drainage and implant placement.
The use of conformer has various reasons, including the following:
Foaming the shape of the eye cavity after surgery
Preventing adhesion in the borders
Avoid rubbing the eyelids on the suture line
Preventing eyelashes from curling towards the eye socket
The conformer keeps the shape of the socket ready for the artificial eye and remains on the implant for six to eight weeks after surgery.
Usually, conformers are available in different sizes, but sometimes surgeons decide to make a custom conformer for the patient.
